1.1 Definition und Umfang der Studie
Holzenergie wird für energetische Zwecke genutzt, um Wärme, Strom oder Biokraftstoffe der zweiten Generation zu erzeugen. Es kann verwendet werden als primärbrennstoff kann aber auch industriell umgewandelt werden in nebenprodukte (fest, flüssig oder gasförmig), die auch brennbar sind.
Die holzenergie ist die führende Quelle für erneuerbare Energie in Frankreich (fast 40 % der Gesamtmenge). Doch trotz seiner vielversprechenden Position im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien, seine Popularität ist in Frankreichs gesamtem Energiesektor noch nicht etabliert . Tatsächlich werden von den 245 toe (Tonnen Öläquivalent) Energie, die 2019 in Frankreich verbraucht werden, weniger als 4% stammen aus Holzenergie .
Der Waldbestand in Frankreich ist für die Holzenergie in Frankreich extrem wichtig, da hier die Hauptquelle für das Produkt liegt. In der Tat bedeckt der Wald 28% des Territoriums von Frankreich großstadt (öffentliches und privates Eigentum) und erstreckt sich über 75.000 Hektar pro Jahr.

Der Wohnbereich ist mit Abstand der Sektor, der die meiste Holzenergie verbraucht mit 70 % des Gesamtverbrauchs und ist damit auch der Sektor, der am meisten zu den Gesamtausgaben für diesen Energieträger beiträgt. Abgesehen vom Wohnverbrauch ist der Hauptgrund für den Holzenergieverbrauch das Heizen (mehr als 90 % des gesamten Holzenergieverbrauchs).
Jenseits der hausheizung der nach wie vor der Hauptabsatzmarkt ist, entwickelt sich die Nutzung von Holzenergie auch im industrie- und Fernwärme die seit 2010 sehr schnell voranschreiten.
Schließlich ist der Holzenergiemarkt in Frankreich extrem segmentiert, da er stark von lokalen und regionalen Aktivitäten abhängig ist.

- The investment for the first Granuloé pilot unit is 3 million euros.
