Market growth is driven by innovation. Moreover, cloud services are going gaining ground given they are cost effective. Nevertheless, data protection is to be considered for this aspect of the market.

In the United Kingdom, SMEs are driving market growth and account for around 50% of revenue. In light of COVID-19, the industry will most likely see an upswing as players move towards online to a larger degree.

The global accounting software market is connected worldwide, and somewhat concentrated, with market leaders in the likes of SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle for large firms, and Intuit Quickbook for smaller companies.
