Asmodee is a French publisher of board games, card games and role-playing games. Founded in 1995 to develop their own games and to publish and distribute games for other game developers, it has since acquired many other board game publishers. As of 2018, has become the second largest board game publisher, after Hasbro, ahead of Ravensburger. This was also the year it was sold by Eurazeo to Pai Partners for €1.2bn.
Among its most famous games, we can count Carcassonne, Dobble or Jungle Speed.
In order to enter the digital games market, Asmodée Digital was launched in 2015 with the aim of replicating its success in physical games in paid digital versions.
The group was bought in 2018 by the PAI fund
