Summary and extracts

1 Market summary

1.1 Definition and general presentation of the market

Organic yogurt (or organic yogurt) is a coagulated dairy product obtained after fermentation of milk by bacteria, in compliance with organic farming standards.

In a growing Belgian market, the organic segment benefits from a positive image among consumers

However, the organic yoghurt market faces many challenges. Sound higher cost that "classic" yoghurt in particular can penalize the product, the market segment being inaccessible to a part of the consumers.

The organic products market continues to grow strongly, benefiting the organic yogurt sub-segment. This appeal is unlikely to diminish in the future.
