Its cloud computing platform is called Microsoft Azure and was created in 2010. It differs from its main competitors by adapting its offerings primarily to enterprises and their IT services. To enhance its offerings, Microsoft acquired Green Button, Adallom, and Cycle Computing, among others. In addition to Azure's on-demand IaaS and PaaS infrastructure offerings, Microsoft also offers on-demand SaaS software.
But it is actually the first offering that is currently the most dynamic, and all cloud computing activity thus generated $23.3 billion in 2018, an increase of 56 percent, making the American company the market leader.
