Lipton is a company initially specialized in the production of tea. Founded by Sir Thomas Johnstone Lipton in 1870, it produces mainly in Sri Lanka, but also in India, Kenya and China, and markets all types of teas (black, green, white) and infusions. It is also present in the sector of iced teas and cold infusions. Its most popular products are Lipton Yellow Label, created in 1890, and Lipton Iced Tea.

The company was acquired in 1991 by Unilever in an initial joint venture with PepsiCo. Its products can now be found in over 150 countries.
