Belgian company Ontex was founded in 1979. At the time, the company specialized in the production of materials for hospitals, but soon diversified into the production of diapers for both babies and adults. Since then, to continue its growth in the diaper market in Europe and internationally, the Group has relied primarily on external growth (purchase of the Serenity brands in Italy in 2014, and Hypermarcas S.A. in Brazil).
Ontex produces in Europe (Czech Republic and Turkey) as well as in the rest of the world (China, Algeria, etc.).
In 2014, Ontex was floated on the stock market.
Recently, Ontex has also diversified its offering by setting out to conquer the Internet. They launched their Little Big Change brand, which offers diaper subscriptions received directly at home.
