Loire Atlantique Pêche et Plaisance's mission is to maintain and manage the fishing and yachting harbors of Le Croisic and La Turballe.
Loire-Atlantique Pêche et Plaisance was created in 2010 at the initiative of the Loire Atlantique department, to help safeguard anchovy fishing in the ports of Le Croisic and La Turballe. The Conseil Départemental de Loire Atlantique remains the majority shareholder in SME (a semi-public company). The mayors of the two towns concerned sit on the Board of Directors and have a say in the management of their port.
In 2017, the port of La Turballe welcomed over 2,700 "foreign" boats and the port of Le Croisic around 500. between them, the two ports totalled 13,500 overnight stays over the year, most of them during the summer period.
