A contract to modernize Beaune's street lighting for a more sustainable and attractive city 07/03/2025
- A 13 million euro contract has been signed for a global performance contract to modernize Beaune's public lighting system, with a ten-year duration.
- The project involves Ineo Réseaux (a subsidiary of Equans France) and Dalkia Electronics (an EDF subsidiary). Since 2009, energy consumption for street lighting in Beaune has already been reduced by 57%
- The new objective is to reduce the energy bill by a further 43%, achieving an overall reduction of 67% by 2035.
- The city's energy consumption for public lighting is set to fall from 2.9 million kWh in 2009 to less than 1 million kWh in 2035, thanks to the gradual installation of LED lamps on more than 5,800 light points, of which more than 2,000 have already been replaced.
