Bosch Rodez plant worried about its future 26/07/2023

  • The Bosch plant near Rodez manufactures diesel engine injectors, injection nozzles and glow plugs.
  • The plant's workforce is set to shrink from 1,150 to 513 between 2022 and the end of 2025 (2,400 in 2000)
  • The FresH2 fuel cell production project has been suspended.
  • The last injector line was shut down last December, and Bosch is planning 150 voluntary departures and 450 early retirements between now and 2025.
  • Of the 513 employees expected to remain in 2028, half will manufacture glow plugs, heavy-duty diesel engine components and truck steering column parts.
  • The plant currently employs 780 people.
