500M investment for 350 MW of green hydrogen in Rouen 25/11/2023
- Verso Energy is planning to set up an industrial unit for the production of low-carbon hydrogen and synthetic fuels in partnership with Haropa Port.
- Scheduled for commissioning by 2029, the plant will create around 150 direct and 250 indirect jobs.
- The plant will be located in Grand-Quevilly (Seine-Maritime), near Rouen.
- It should have a hydrogen production capacity of 350 MW or 50,000 tonnes per year.
- Investment in the plant is in the region of 500 million euros.
- In October, Verso Energy was planning to invest 450 million euros in a decarbonated hydrogen production unit at Carling-Saint-Avold.
- In January, Verso Energy raised €50 million to accelerate its development. More than 50 employees.
