Sonova is a manufacturer of hearing solutions. The Sonova Group, the new name of Phonak Holding since 2007, offers several brands in international markets where it is present in more than 100 countries and employs more than 14,000 people worldwide. The group is present in France with the brands Phonak, Unitron, Hansaton, Audition Santé and AudioNova.
Sonova primarily distributes hearing instruments, but also cochlear implants and wireless communication solutions, with one of the most comprehensive product portfolios in the market. Sonova has established the Hear the World Foundation to support the cause of the hearing impaired. The Sonova Group's various brands are generally dedicated to a particular hearing care business, with the Advanced Bionics brand specializing in innovative, high-end hearing aids, including cochlear implants, whereas a brand such as Phonak is more oriented towards consumer demand. Finally, through its acquisition of Audition Santé, Sonova owns one of the major networks of hearing aid practitioners in the French market.
