The cooperative set up at the end of 2019 to revive short lines with the opening up of rail transport to competition is in receivership
It has spent the 8.5 million euros contributed by 14,500 members and 36 local authorities
Railcoop had set up a freight line between Capdenac-Gare (Aveyron) and Toulouse in December 2021, which was closed last April due to a lack of customers, after posting a deficit of 3.5 million euros and sales of 120,000 euros in 2022
The cooperative reduced its workforce from 34 to 11 employees
