Medtech is a French medical robotics company founded in Montpellier in 2002.
Medtech's robots assist surgeons in complex operations. Its flagship robot is ROSA, created in 2007, which has given rise to several specialized versions, such as Rosa Brain in 2010 for the brain, and Rosa Spine for the spine.
By 2016, nearly 3,000 patients had already been operated on by a Medtech robot, and 60 hospitals equipped. In the same year, the American Zimmer Biomet group announced that it was acquiring a 58.77% majority stake in Metech.
