Gn Hearing has three hearing instrument brands, ReSound GN, Beltone and Interton, with ReSound being the most iconic.

The ReSound brand has its origins in two separate Danish companies. The older of the two is undoubtedly Danavox. This group was founded in 1943 and presented its first hearing aid in 1947. This device used very advanced technology for its time, which allowed Danavox to quickly become the Danish market leader. In 1977 Great Northern, a large Danish telecommunications company, bought Danavox.

ReSound offers a wide range of products, including many different series that differ in the technologies they employ. The hearing instruments in a series are characterised by their shape, colour and the way they can be worn.

Almost all product lines include a Behind-The-Ear (BTE) device, which can be worn behind the ear. This is the most common and usually the most economical solution.

Some ReSound instrument series include in-the-ear (ITE) instruments. These can be placed directly in the ear canal. There are many different versions of ITEs. One of these is the In-the- Canal (IC) model, which is partially placed in the ear canal. An increasing number of clients are choosing CIC (completely in the canal) instruments. These fit completely in the ear canal and are therefore barely visible. On the other hand, ReSound offers a number of CIC models that are not only visually pleasing, but also particularly comfortable.

The LINX series, launched on the market in 2014, has a special significance. This hearing aid is the first to have been awarded the "Made for iPhone" label. It offers the possibility to link the hearing aid directly with one's smartphone and other electronic devices, to contribute to a unique hearing experience.

The group employs 6000 people
