Ermewa was sold by SNCF in 2021.
It was bought by the Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec (CDPQ) and DWS, Deutsche Bank's asset management company.
The company, now called Streem, employs over 1,300 people and has more than 40 sites.
It owns more than 45,000 wagons across Europe, making it the second-largest leasing company on the continent.
Its subsidiaries Eurotainer and Raffles Lease together hold over 80,000 ISO tank containers worldwide.
Streem aims to double its sales by 2030.
The European Commission's objective is to double the share of rail freight in Europe from 18% to 30% within the next decade.
A year after its sale, Ermewa/Streem has increased its investments to 500 million euros a year by 2022, compared with 150 to 200 million euros a year previously.
The sector is currently dominated by Germany's VTG.
