The nautical club CNTL is in charge of managing and operating a part of the marinas of the Vieux Port in Marseille. Established in Marseille since 1970, the Cercle Nautique et Touristique du Lacydon now has over 600 members. The club organizes associative activities around the nautical life, as well as regattas - Massilia Cup, Duo Cup... - which allow to attract tourists and to make the association live. In 1999, the CNTL was the first French club to obtain the blue flag, a guarantee of respect for the environment.
It is a member of the Marseille nautical clubs (UNM, SNM...)... and illustrates that Yatch clubs can also be active as operators when the management of a port is private.
