The Banette network has a strong singularity in the French bakery-pastry landscape: the network is not organised as a franchise strictly speaking, but as a federation of independent artisan bakers. Thus, bakers do not pay any entrance fee to join the network, but commit to quality criteria and undertake to obtain their supplies only from the millers of the Banette network.

 

As such, in 1993 Banette opened the Ecole Banette, 1 er bakery training centre in France. Today, every Banette bakery craftsman must go through this training.
