  • Korian, France's 5th-largest social housing group, announced in early July that it would be expanding its range of shared apartments for seniors, consisting of buildings of 150 to 170 units, each with its own kitchen and bathroom facilities
  • The company, which already has around twenty student residences in France with between 150 and 600 beds, and another ten under construction, plans to open its first two residences for young professionals next year, in Gentilly and Toulouse

The Babel Community plans to open 25 residences by 2025 and to invest €500 million, including a coliving project in Grenoble in 2022[La Tribune and Axis]. The Babel community is the leader in the sector in France with 48,259 square meters of space dedicated to coliving and an occupancy rate of 97%. The Babel Community is owned by Axis Immobilier, which also owns The Colivers and HiFlat (furnished apartment rentals). The company was founded by Benoit Jobert and Matthieu Brugières.
