A França vive um dinamismo incrível no mercado de automóveis usados: as vendas em volume de veículos usados são 2 a 3 vezes superiores às vendas de veículos novos.
O mercado de automóveis em segunda mão foi, evidentemente, perturbado pela chegada da tecnologia da Internet. Este mercado tem actualmente cerca de vinte intervenientes físicos e digitais e quase metade dos compradores de veículos usados fizeram previamente a sua investigação na Internet.
