1.1 INTRODUÇÃO

O mercado de electricidade está organizado em torno de quatro áreas principais: a produção, transmissão, distribuição e comercialização desta energia. Geralmente, estas quatro áreas principais são as seguintes negócios principais dos principais fornecedores de eletricidade francesa que integra toda a cadeia de valor.

Historicamente regulamentado o mercado europeu de fornecimento de electricidade tem estado totalmente aberto à concorrência desde então 1º de julho de 2007 Isto permitiu que os novos operadores entrassem no mercado e competissem com os líderes históricos baixando os preços. O consumo de eletricidade na França não deve ser resumido como consumo doméstico de eletricidade: ele também depende de actividade industrial ou o actividade nuclear do país. A produção de electricidade em França divide-se principalmente entre isto nuclear (70%), hidráulica (10%), gasosa , energia eólica , energia solar , bioenergia , carbonífero e óleo combustível .

Historicamente dominado por FED Consequentemente, o mercado francês da electricidade está actualmente aberto à concorrência e caracteriza-se por um aumento tanto do número de intervenientes como da intensidade da concorrência. A novos actores que puxam o custo para baixo são em particular Energia Direta , Lampiris ou Engie . Os intervenientes no mercado da electricidade estão agora empenhados numa estratégia de diversificação em especial no sector do gás, a fim de tirar partido das sinergias e aumentar a sua quota de mercado.

Prevê-se que o mercado da electricidade tenha novos desenvolvimentos sob a influência da regulamentação europeia, da concorrência internacional e da transição energética que incentiva os consumidores e as famílias francesas a adotarem formas mais respeitadoras do ambiente de produção de eletricidade (instalação de painéis solares para reduzir as contas de eletricidade, etc.).
