1.1 Presentazione e definizione del mercato del bioetanolo in Francia

Il bioetanolo, è il più popolare tra i bioetanolo biocarburanti, cioè prodotto a partire da materia organica, l'etanolo è origine vegetale . Mentre il bioetanolo è talvolta considerato una fonte di energia rinnovabile, la sostenibilità dei suoi metodi di produzione è ampiamente messa in discussione. Il bioetanolo riguarda l'agricoltura intensiva, principalmente di cerealicolo o da barbabietola da zucchero . Altre soluzioni, seconde generazioni di rifiuti agricoli e forestali con un'impronta ecologica minore sono in fase di sperimentazione

Esistono diversi tipi di bioetanolo a seconda della sua origine vegetale: dalla colza alla colza, dalla colza alla colza di palma da olio di soia....ecc. Il bioetanolo è utilizzato in Francia in alcuni tipi di carburanti per auto (spesso registrato dopo il 2000) e/o con un motore a carburante flessibile che può alternare tra la benzina e una soluzione composta principalmente da etanolo (e chiamata "Fuelflex")

Sul mercato francese esistono due tipi di carburante che utilizzano bioetanolo

  • esso SP98 e SP95 contenente fino al 5% di bioetanolo, per l'uso in automobili a benzina e a carburante flessibile
  • esso SP95-E10 contenente il 10% di bioetanolo, per l'uso in automobili a benzina e a carburante flessibile
  • esso Superetanolo-E85 contenente dal 65 all'85% di bioetanolo, destinato esclusivamente alle autovetture a carburante flessibile

La produzione di etanolo è in aumento costante in tutto il mondo dal 2009. Il mercato è dominato dalle produzioni della Stati Uniti (principalmente mais) e Brasile (principalmente canna da zucchero) . Seguono poi, molto indietro, le produzioni dei paesi europei

Se l'opzione La Francia è il primo produttore europeo di bioetanolo nel 2018 (principalmente barbabietola, frumento e mais), rappresenta il secondo consumatore dopo la Germania. Dal 2011 l'uso di questo tipo di carburante è leggermente aumentato (in litri), così come la produzione (in litri)

Tuttavia, l'uso di bioetanolo è criticato perché proviene da un agricoltura inquinante Ciò ha portato a numerose deforestazione e ad un aumento della domanda e quindi dei prezzi di alcuni prodotti alimentari essenziali. Alcuni lo accusano addirittura di un inquinamento ancora maggiore del gasolio, un combustibile fossile

Tuttavia, il metodo popolarità del carburante SP95-E10 con i francesi è in aumento. Nel 2018 è stato il carburante preferito dai francesi in termini di litri venduti, approfittando del ritorno della benzina a favore del calo del consumo di gasolio. Ciò è dimostrato anche dagli ottimi risultati di vendita delle carcasse che consentono ad un motore convenzionale di utilizzare carburanti a base di etanolo. Il mercato del bioetanolo può contare anche su boom in Superetanolo-E85 a favore di un quadro normativo e incentivi politici come pure prezzi al litro più interessanti
