1.1 Definition und Umfang der Studie

Der Tabakmarkt, der an der Schnittstelle zwischen öffentlichen und privaten Angelegenheiten liegt, ist ein sehr spezifischer, stark regulierter und kontrollierter Markt, der jedoch alle Segmente der Welt und die französische Bevölkerung betrifft

Der Umfang dieser Studie umfasst die Herstellung, den Vertrieb und den Verkauf von Tabak und seinen Nebenprodukten wie Zigaretten, Zigarren, Zigarillos, Walzentabak, Kautabak und Schnupftabak. Es wird auch über neue Formen des Konsums diskutiert, die auf dem Markt erschienen sind, wie die elektronische Zigarette.

Während es in Frankreich 16 Millionen Raucher gab, davon 70% nach 2010, sind sie jetzt nur noch 13 Millionen im Jahr 2018 . Die Regierung hat sich auch ein neues Ziel für die Reduzierung des Tabakkonsums in Frankreich gesetzt: die Reduzierung der Raucher im Alter von 15 bis 75 Jahren am Ende der Macron-Fünfjahresperiode von 26,9% auf weniger als 22%. Der Tabakmarkt befindet sich somit in der abnahme in Frankreich, zunächst beeinflusst durch den Anstieg der Zigarettenpreise, der in den letzten 20 Jahren zu einem Rückgang des Zigarettenverkaufs geführt hat. Auch der Markt befindet sich in Schwierigkeiten, da das Umsatzwachstum von medizinische Pflaster und an elektronische Zigaretten .

Der Tabakmarkt wird dominiert von einige Führungskräfte wie Philip Morris International (mit den Marken Malboro und Philip Morris), Seita (mit Fortuna, Gauloises, Gitanes), Altadis Imperial Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International und British American Tobacco. Es gibt auch etwa vierzig Tabakvertriebshändler in Frankreich, wobei der wichtigste davon Logista France ist. Schließlich wird der Einzelhandelsverkauf von Tabakwaren durch die Zollverwaltung geregelt.

  • The Furiani cigarette factory in Haute-Corse, owned by the British Imperial Brands group, will cease production by the end of this year.
