1.1 Definition und Umfang der Studie

Solarmodule sind so konstruiert, dass sie Energie aus der Sonneneinstrahlung gewinnen und diese entweder in Strom oder Wärme umwandeln. Es gibt eigentlich zwei Arten von Solarmodulen: zum einen Photovoltaik-Module, die Strom erzeugen, und zum anderen thermische Module, die Wärme produzieren.

Der Markt für Solarmodule boomt. Obwohl immer noch in der Minderheit unter den Energiequellen, erfährt die Solarenergie in Frankreich seit 2010 ein nachhaltiges Wachstum: Die installierte Kapazität überschritt Anfang 2020 offiziell 10 GW und soll laut nationalen Zielen 40 GW im Jahr 2028 erreichen. Da die nachhaltige Entwicklung im Mittelpunkt des aktuellen Interesses steht, ist die Solarenergie eine der erneuerbaren Energien der Zukunft". Daher sind die Investitionen in neue Photovoltaikanlagen erheblich.

Der Sektor wird durch die besondere Rolle des Staates stark gefördert, der durch Beihilfen, Steuervergünstigungen und Verpflichtungen zum Rückkauf des erzeugten Photovoltaikstroms in diesen Markt eingreift. Trotz des Markteintritts neuer französischer und europäischer Start-ups, deren Angebote die Trends zu Hybrid- und Digitaltechnik widerspiegeln, ist der französische (und im weiteren Sinne der europäische) Solarmodulsektor stark von chinesischen Angeboten abhängig, deren Wettbewerb sich in den letzten Jahren verschärft hat.

Schließlich werden die Auswirkungen der aktuellen Gesundheitskrise auf lange Sicht interessant sein. Während die Krise in den letzten Monaten zu einer Verlangsamung des Marktes geführt hat, hat sie auch dazu beigetragen, das Interesse der Franzosen an nachhaltiger Entwicklung und alternativen Energien zu stärken und hat die Widerstandsfähigkeit von Solaranlagen angesichts des Einbruchs der Strompreise gezeigt.
