Decauville, fondata da Paul Decauville, nel 1875
Paul Decauville inventò una nuova ferrovia a scartamento ridotto (da 400 a 600 mm), che divenne rapidamente nota come "Decauville".
L'introduzione di carrozze motorizzate e piccole locomotive trasformò "Decauville" in un vero e proprio sistema ferroviario.
Dagli anni '80 del XIX secolo fino agli anni '70, Decauville divenne un fiore all'occhiello dell'industria francese, riconosciuto in tutto il mondo.
Oggi, Decauville SAS è una filiale di Marrel, di proprietà congiunta della holding CTELM e di FASSI, specializzata in carrozzerie industriali.
