Tempow, the new French Tech start-up acquired by Google in 2019. 18/11/2021
- Created in 2016, Tempow has developed software enabling various objects to communicate with each other using the Bluetooth protocol, allowing up to four devices of different brands to be connected for real-time multicasting.
- The company failed to achieve profitability, but its contributions to the Bluetooth standard with some forty patents filed in five years attracted the attention of Google.
- The start-up raised 500,000 euros from business angels, notably Angelsquare.
- And raised a total of 3.3 million euros in funding in 2018.
- Tempow was acquired by Google for between 10 and 20 million euros.
