Festins de Bourgogne was founded in 1992 by chef Didier Chapuis. The company specialized in event catering, and diversified into the manufacture and delivery of meal trays.
In 1996, the company acquired a ready-to-eat company in Lamotte-Beuvron (Loir-et-Cher), then opened a catering boutique in Marsannay-la-Côte (Côte-d'Or).
