Company specialized in the edition and creation of postcards as well as greeting cards, whose origins go back to 1910 with the creation in the United States of Hallmark US. At the same time, the company Editions Yvon was created in France in 1919
As early as 1963, Hallmark opened a French subsidiary, then a first La Carterie store in Paris in 1967. After several acquisitions (Verkeke in 1993, Dalix in 1998), the Hallmark France subsidiary became an independent company in 2001
The portfolio of licenses was expanded with the addition of Disney in 2004 and Warner in 2009. In 2011, Editions Yvon merged with La Carterie to create a major player in the French cardboard market, with some fifty franchise stores and 7,000 points of sale throughout France.
The company was taken over in 2018 by the Draeger family, who agreed to change the company's name to Draeger La Carterie.
The group is now present in 9 countries, distributed in 50 different countries under the Draeger La Carterie or Draeger Iberica brand, and publishes its cards in more than 6 languages. According to the Nouvel Observateur, postcards now represent less than 5% of the group's turnover.
