Paris selects three self-service electric scooter operators 30/06/2023

  • Three operators have been selected to regulate the self-service electric scooter market in Paris: Cityscoot , Yego and Cooltra.
  • Deployment by these operators will begin on October 2, 2023, and may ramp up to 7,500 vehicles during the first two years.
  • It can then reach up to 9,000 vehicles from 2026 until the end of the contract in 2028 (an average of 3,000 scooters per operator).
  • Each operator will pay a fixed annual fee of 67 euros per scooter, plus a variable portion based on sales.
  • Paris City Hall expects to generate revenues of around 920,000 euros in 2024 from the deployment of these three operators.
  • Cooltra becomes the European leader with a presence in 9 major European cities
