Organic sales plunged by 12% in 2022 among specialists and by 7% on hypermarket shelves.
- The cooperative of retailers and producers, which accounts for half the sector, lost just 6%.
- In France, over two hundred (222) organic stores closed last year. Around a hundred opened.
- Biocoop, a network of 765 stores, gained ground on its rivals Naturalia, La Vie Claire and So Bio, a Carrefour subsidiary
- Biocoop experienced 35 store closures, offset by 40 store openings.
